As an oboist hailing from Qingdao, China, Ying Jiang obtained a Bachelor of Science in Music and an Outside Field, Oboe Performance and Arts Management from Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music, and a Master of Music, Oboe Performance from Northwestern University, Bienen School of Music.

As a recipient of the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Premiere Young Artist Award, Ying has performed with various ensembles including the IU Philharmonic Orchestra, IU Chamber Orchestra, IU Symphony Orchestra, IU University Orchestra, IU Wind Ensemble, IU Symphonic Band Interlochen Symphony Orchestra, Connecticut All States Orchestra, and West Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

As a former Oboe Studio Assistant at Northwestern University, Ying Jiang has extensive teaching experience in Oboe, English Horn, and reed-making.
